It's not exactly fiction, or a novel, but I am reading "The First Three Minutes: A Modern View Of The Origin Of The Universe" by S. Weinberg. Translated to Greek, sadly, couldn't find an English copy around here.

You're reading a book about the Big Bang Theory in Greek. That must be dense as fuck. How is it?

I got the entire library of the BBC 100 a while back for my kobo. Currently reading "A Brave New World." Huxley's disjointed writing is damned confusing sometimes.

I've also read "Omen" and the first Discworld book from Terry Prachett, the entire LoTR series and 1984-- the latter of which I only suggest reading if you're not prone to depression and a cynical worldview. Terry Prachett, however, is the polar opposite, and left me in giggles several times.

LoTR is LoTR. 'nuff said.

Okay, well that might explain it. I thought that he might just like a ludicrous challenge.

I don't read books because I'm not good with the start to finish format, it works for shorter stories and entries like the ones found in chats or forums, but longer things are really disorganized. I'm used to reading the end first and going to the start from there.

You're not supposed to read books right to left. What are you Japanese?

Anyways, just finished the Gunslinger by Stephen King. It's a good book, but some of the word choice is a little jarring. It's paragraphs and paragraphs of plain English and then suddenly the thesaurus attacks. The ending is epic though and I'm pretty excited to continue the series.

But first, I'm going to read Tender is the Night by F. Scott Fitzgerald.

Hm. Finished Tender is the Night, Alloy of Law, and that Bioshock Infinite short story. Also got a Kindle Paperwhite which is actually pretty awesome. No frills, just clean, front-lit reading that doesn't strain my eyes even in the dark.

Tender is the Night was a slog in the beginning, but the curtain of everyday life is brought up a third of the way through and you finally start seeing the characters as the tragic characters they are.

Mistborn: Alloy of Law is a fast paced and fun mid-length novel. Sanderson placed the book in a totally different setting. The first Mistborn trilogy is set in a Victorian-esque city, but Alloy of Law is a western through and through. He also elaborated and changed the magic system by adding new metals and the new classification, Twinborn. Overall, I really enjoyed it.

Bioshock Infinite short story was useless. It reiterated things we learned in the game and the only meaningful takeaway was that Daisy was just as brutal before Booker came and Elizabeth's meddling didn't make her even more revolutionary. Also, she has a genius level IQ apparently.

Currently reading a Clash of Kings and starting Way of Kings.

New question: What is your favorite or least favorite book that you have been forced to read?

Well I just started Atlas Shrugged and it's proved quite interesting. I'd like to say I'm being deep and reading it because of that but the real reason is bioshock.

Finished A Feast for Crows and A Dance of Dragons. Slow and plodding in comparison to the third, but still good.

Currently reading: The Crusades: A Definitive History and A Shadow in Summer. One fiction and one non-fiction is all I can take a time. A Shadow in Summer is interesting and pretty well-written. People "take poses" to convey certain emotions or feelings to others which is a little hard to imagine. The Crusades is awesome and balanced. Neither side looks like the "good guys" they simply look just as self-interested as the other which I think most history boils down to.

its because the majority of roleplayers are dick-stroking neckbeards who substitute having a life with making one up

take me for example

I'm buying a Kindle Paperwhite because I'm going to Russia and it would be stupid to bring a dozen or so paperbacks. While I already have a selection of books I want to read, it's quickly amounted to nearly 100 dollars because of digital books being somewhat overpriced. The Kindle does however have a rather large selection of classics for free and a fair amount of low priced books. The problem being, it takes ages to go through the dull and rather smutty bullshit books they list. Does anyone have any suggestions on classics that are enjoyable?
