Kallan'Muya System, Kal'Bavakorian Outpost World of Hallo'Wai
Council Station Construction Site

[OG;009] Kallan'Muya System Deus_ex_machina_by_kire1987-d4cdsv1

It was a beautiful sight to behold. The Hallo'Wai System, recently taken into possession by the Systems Republic of Kal'Bavakor to allow contact with non-Kal races, while protecting the home system at the same time, was now to be home to the Galactic Council Station. Hallo'Wai was a Terran world; a lush and alien world, a sort of world that the Kal people have never before set foot upon.. Until the last few weeks of course. The difference in gravity was strange, although the world was one of the jungle; consumed by harsh vegetation, and covered in hot, bubbly oceans that massaged one's feet to the touch. The oxygen was humid enough for settlement, although the one hundred and five unit weather was horrid at times for the cold-climate-based Kal'Bavakorian people, so thank goodness for the cool ocean waters beneath the surfaces of Hallo'Wai's oceans. While the Kal'Bavakorian people did not eat vegetables, being a carnivorous race; the local plant life did accent the planet's delicious meat sources to the point of being able to hold it down.. Of course, there was the side effects of eating the greens, and it wasn't fun.

They had just begun construction on an underwater outpost, and a floating landing port just large enough for a few supply craft to make a landing at. Most of the Kals who had landed on the world had set up small settlements around the ocean outpost to allow contact between the outside galaxy, and themselves. They hunted for themselves, farmed Kal'Bavakorian flora on the world with assistance from terraforming and organic systems, and even a few small businesses, such as OI Servant exchanges, or outdoor markets were set up. The Kal'Bavakorian Frontiersmen, Kals who had performed Federal Service and had earned the right to be named Citizens of the Republic, as well as earned the right to own a personal starship; were Kal Citizens who grouped together in a small fleet of personalized, small living craft and, with payment and assistance from the Grand Council Exploration Arm, jumped out into the Galaxy to find suitable living zones for Kal'Bavakorians. There were about five documented Frontier Zones, as they were called, that the Grand Council knew about, and Hallo'Wai was next on the list for official colonization and implementation into the Republic once the Council allowed more resources to be sent to the system.

While the world below was settled in preparation for meeting the requirements of being admitted into the Republic, the greatest inter-species project above; the Grand Council Station, was being constructed. High orbit planetary defense orbitals had been launched into place, and the world even had a small orbital refueling and R and R station for the small force of two SRNC-01 Assault Frigates, a single SRNC-02 Heavy Frigate and a single SRNC-04 Carrier Cruiser, which guarded the slowly growing world. In a few cycles, more station parts were supposed to be shipped to the system to be installed into the Galactic Council Station, as well as to create a Kal'Bavakorian Trading Station for inter-species trading; required since the recent agreement between The People and the Republic on trade rights, and for future trade endeavors. The items would be traded at the station, then shipped to the Un System from there, in order to defend the location of the home system.. It was a grand plan indeed, and the Galaxy would soon benefit from the pursuits of the Kal'Bavakorian people..

Commander Cha'Bur of Galactic Council Station Security smiled softly at such delightful thoughts. She allowed herself a pause as she lifted her bu'ka eel roll; a small, living eel that was covered in a special sweet sauce, and rolled up between two loaves of flattened corral bread. She was sitting within' the somewhat-completed Observation Deck of the Galactic Council Station, wearing a set of her most comfortable Citizen's Robes that were dyed a special green from the leaves of the world's local flora. Pushing her black-ish hair back with one of her small, three fingered, webbed hands, she slowly closed her glowing silver and violet eyes, and took a bite out of the bu'ka eel roll. She smiled softly at the flavor, and at the small bit of black eel blood that rolled down her lip, which she quickly licked off. Opening her eyes again, she allowed herself to be overtaken by the view that was bestowed before herself.. The darkness of space, sprinkled with stars, and the magnificent world below herself. She hadn't been down to it yet, having been too busy working with her security detail and OI drones to prepare security algorithms for when the station opened, as well as in preparation for The People's workers, who would arrive soon to assist with the construction. She was a bit wary of these new beings who were soon to appear and assist in the stations construction; but her security forces were adept. Any attempts to intrude upon the security of the future of the Galaxy, and her team would be there to kick some extra-terrestrial ass!

Ah yes, such a view it was.. Not only a view of the gracious Republic world hundreds of thousands of decibals below herself.. But one of the future as well! And everyone knew that Kals were a philosophical people.

Well.. Most of them. She thought she was, anyway.

Kallan'Muya System, Kal'Bavakorian Outpost World of Hallo'Wai
Council Station Transit Center -> Embassy Center

"Because, dear People.. Organic's usually strive to live above the bare necessities. The Kals have fought hard to strive amongst the landmasses of worlds, and we enjoy the rock walls; the fountains, or the vendors. They make the basics of life easier to approach, whilst not making one soft at heart. And what is a simple metal wall to look at? What is the point of going to one part of a ship to get food, when you can get it whenever you need it? Expression of thought, the ability to live comfortably.. Is what separates the regular amphibian, the regular primate.. From more advanced society. Well, not totally, but you don't see Oasis Echkta Primates tidying up a nice house to live in, do you?"

The Shield-Commander releases a bubbly chuckle at her words, or more specifically those of 'Construct of Liason', before she slowly moves to take a seat upon one of the harness seats behind herself. The chairs, to the People, would seem a bit tiny to get very comfortable in, but nonetheless Shield-Commander Cha'Bur slowly motions towards the seats behind the People soldiers, as if asking them to seat without words. She was a bit creeped out by their lack of expression; how they just stood there silently, as if speaking to each other through thought. But still, she needn't judge. To them, she and her people were probably strange as well, as they probably.. Probably.. Thought such vivid expression was strange. Maybe, who knew? They clearly weren't very evident on relaxing, or.. Well.. Doing much in the presence of those they considered aliens. The best she could do was try to include them whenever possible, like working with a quiet child.

Before she could ponder the subject further, the lights in the tram suddenly dimmed until almost no light was visible. Within' moments, the tram car's holo-emitter activated, and immediately the sound of chatting, chirping Kal'Bavakorians was hushed as their many sets of glowing, silvery eyes turned to gaze upon the slowly forming three dimensional holo-image of the Galactic Council Station. Behind the single red-eye of her helmet, Cha'Bur could not help but watch as well.. She found her eyes glued to the image. The presentation afterwards was incredible as well.. And it made her heart swell with pride.

[OG;009] Kallan'Muya System Prometheus_wallpaper_by_nmorris86-d4ti99m

The three-dimensional image of the Grand Council Station hands over the heads of the People and Kal teams, rotating softly on an axis, and glowing brightly along with the eyes of Kal'Bavakorian soldiers who wore helmets fit with visors. Within' moments of it forming, a female, synthetic voice would pick up over the speakers of the tram car; not at all unlike the voice used to translate the words of the Shield-Commander. It begins to speak, speaking one verse in Kal'Bavakorian, than another in Human English, alternating between the two so that the occupants of the car might pick it up.

<::'Hello.. And welcome to Station Seven, or the Galactic Council Station. Currently one of the largest space station ever having been constructed by Systems Republic, and the first to ever be constructed by joint effort between a large magnitude of races; Station Seven is about three kilometers long, and two kilometers wide, and around half a kilometer in height, or will be, when construction finishes.. Although the plans are subject to change for increases. The station is planned to include multiple habitation zones for populating by the many races of the galaxy, and are ready to be injected by alien flora for such a case. Gravity has been adjusted in areas for each specific race, and those areas inhabited by multiple races at a time, including the Embassy Center, rest centers, public baths, or the trams, is averaged to allow for the most comfortable gravity level for all races at a time. Currently finished on the station is Docking Bay One, basic centers of Embassy Center, Kal'Bavakorian Habitat, Orbital Defense Centers, Refueling Stations One through Nine, Observation Decks One through Three, Atriums One through Fourty Nine, Alliance Central Park; a semi-completed park in Embassy Center, which is planned to hold flora from all known walks of life after checking compatibility or ability to effect other species. The Kal'Bavakorian Embassy is also complete, and the People and United Systems Coalition Embassies have been permitted by Station Security, and are awaiting construction. Current population of the station is around two thousand staff, three hundred administrators, four hundred civilians or citizens, three thousand slave laborers, and fifteen hundred Organic Intelligence Drones. Population is currently ninety nine point nine percent Kal'Bavakorian, and point zero one People. While we prepare to pass through an uncompleted zone, make sure to look to your right to see into deep space, as the Systems Republic Defense Fleet does a fly-by of the nearby quadrant..'::>

Suddenly, within' moments of this being said, the tram bounces a bit, and passes straight through and unsecured zone of the tram line. The tram is suddenly subjected to the vacuum of space.. And it zooms along at a quick pace down the tram line as it continues on it's route. If anyone was to do as the intercom had asked, they would look to see a small fleet of spacecraft fly by. They are clearly synthetic and alien in design, and from the four massive craft, three being frigates of varying design, and one being a much larger carrier of the cruiser class, it is safe to assume the system is in good hands. Below the fleet, closer to the unfinished hull that surrounds the opening into space around the tram, Kal'Bavakorian workers in EVA suits, as well as OI Drones, can be seen hard at work. Some are attaching pieces of massive hull parts to the side of the station, while others work on electrical wiring or organic parts of the station, lining water lines, repairing damage from micro-meteorites, or anything else of importance to the station. Some of the EVA workers carry the strange, glowing collar on their necks, designating them as slaves. The Kal'Bavakorians on the tram seem to take no heed or embarrassment from this fact, and instead listen as the intercom continues to spout introductory information.

<::'This area of the station was originally designed to hold the Embassy Center, but when Kal'Bavakorian engineers accidentely attached an entire set of flooring struts to this side of the station, they realized they had mistakenly attached the tram system to this area. Fortunately, this was seen as an actual benefit, and the station design was re-done to become more efficient then originally established...'::>

"I guess we fall under your definition of primates then.", the soldier says. He seems sincere, no sarcasm or anything of the like being detected.

The soldiers remain standing, turning their heads to face the hologram, observing it. As they pass the construction site, they appear to be paying extra attention to the slaves. They speak no words, but their focus says enough. They remain silent throughout the rest of the ride.

[OG;009] Kallan'Muya System Empty Six months later...

Post by Hades on Sun Jan 27, 2013 4:38 am

USS Carentan, SCVN-88
Combat Information Center

"Direct hit to the starboard bow, no damage. The shots failed to penetrate."

Admiral Jones allowed a smug smile to form on his usually reserved face. The refits done to the Carentan had led to this moment: the Kal'Bavakorian 'Resolve', or at least her main energy batteries, had failed to penetrate the thick armor plating that surrounded the supercarrier. At least, that's what the simulation said. This wasn't a real battle, by any means. All weapons had been loaded with training cartridges, computers that made a realistic effect of hitting and then sending data back to all ships on what damage they would have done in a real engagement.

"Launch attack squadrons."

Carentan Cobra 108, Callsign 'Stinger'

+"Launch Blue Cricket squadron."+

These words were the last thing Major Patrick 'Stinger' Wilde heard in his radio before his cobra was accelerated forward towards the exit of the launch tube, and then, he met the darkness of space. Many more fighters were launched around him, a total of fifteen squadrons, while the USS Juno launched her own twelve squadrons, the Dauntless launched five, and the Iowa and Midway launched four each. A total of 40 squadrons were thrown on an intercept course towards the Kal'Bavakorian battle group, which was stationed at the other end of the system.

Time to intercept was two minutes, so Stinger thought it was his duty as CAG of the Carentan to say a few words.

"Good morning, pilots, and welcome to the first Council Alliance Wargames. In about two minutes, we'll be duking it out with Kal'Bavakorian pilots, and hopefully getting a shot at their ship. Your fighters and bombers have been equipped with training munitions, as have theirs. I'm looking forward to seeing what we can all learn from this drill. Oh, and one last thing, we may be allies, but I expect you to mop the floor with them. Show them who the best pilots in the galaxy are. Good hunting, pilots!"

USS Dauntless, SSBN-68
Combat Information Center

"All fighter wings are away, Captain."

"Very good. Stand by to commence salvo fire against the Resolve, lets see if they fixed the hull well enough. We'll aim for their weapons control and hangar bays, see if we can give our pilots some breathing-"

"Sir!"

The voice of the lone ensign startled the Captain, and he let her continue with what she was about to say; it seemed important, after all. One wouldn't violate the Dauntless's first rule without reason, and that rule was "do not interrupt the skipper".

"We've detected an inbound jump signature at the outer skirts of the system, can't get a precise classification yet. Might be a capital ship."

"Right, terminate the drill, recall our fighters and have them switch to real ammunition."

+"All fighters, all fighters, emergency recall, unidentified capital ship approaching, bearing one one six mark zero eight two. Break exercise and commence CAP operations."+

The USC's fighters suddenly turned back, heading to a defensive formation around the USC battlegroup. The Kal'bavakorians might detect a number of nuclear warheads being loaded into the tubes, and all of the USC's batteries being turned to aim towards the location of the new contact. Soon enough, a message would be sent to the Resolve over encrypted tachyon channels.

+"Resolve, Carentan. We have detected an inbound capital ship bearing one one six mark zero eight two, we're terminating the drill."+

USS Carentan, SCVN-88
Combat Information Center

"Ship identified as an Alarei dreadnought, Admiral!"

"The Resolve?"

"They are not responding."

"Order the battlegroup to commence fire immediately, launch the reserve fighters!"

The response from the officers and operators was immediate. Each of them spoke into their headsets in an almost mechanical manner, ordering the various gunnery crews around the ship to open fire at pre-determined targets across the Alarei dreadnought. The main screen of the Combat Information Center zoomed in to the Carentan itself, highlighting the port weapons batteries; the attack was commencing.

Carentan Cobra 417, Callsign 'Skate'

+"Skate, Carentan. Enemy dreadnought twelve low at fourteen."+

Captain William 'Skate' Parker could almost feel the blood moving to his back as the Cobra accelerated out of one of the port launch tubes and was sent on a path towards the Alarei dreadnought. He couldn't see any enemy fighters on RADAR; they probably didn't have time to scramble, he thought. Without them, this would be a cakewalk. Just go in, launch the torpedoes, then go out again and let them do the rest. But then again, when was anything that easy?

His fears were confirmed the second he picked up incoming RADAR contacts. Eight squadrons were in the process of taking off from the dreadnought, and that meant bad news. Human fighters were more advanced than Alarei, but many pilots had been shot down in the first war because of superior numbers; thankfully, numbers were on the human side. The Cobras outnumbered the Alarei squadrons five to one, and that wasn't counting the Kal fighters that may or may not be joining them.

He was about to release the master arm on his anti-fighter weapons when he saw a flash behind him, and then another. The Carentan was firing, in fact, the entire fleet was firing, and it was terrifying. The massive railguns fired in rapid succession, sending thousands of high explosive slugs flying towards the Dreadnought's starboard like bees heading to honey. The detonations were just as bright as the firing sequences: the Alarei dreadnought was engulfed in fire as the shells hit against its armor, outright destroying its hangars, FTL drives, power cores and repair systems. The Alarei squadrons were obliterated in the detonations, creating numerous secondary explosions all over the hangar bays; the beast had been striken down by the might of the fleet.

As his fighter approached the dreadnought, Skate had to wonder whose bright idea it was to leave the weapons control systems alone. The answer was given to him soon enough.

USS Carentan, SCVN-88
Combat Information Center

"Condition One SQ is set, all nuclear devices ready for launch!"

"XO, input your firing code into the computer. "
was the Admiral's response as he typed in a long string of numbers into the console, and the console obediently flashed green. With the XO doing the same, the only step that remained was to turn the keys, and that was exactly what happened next. The Admiral and the XO inserted their launch keys into the firing console, muttered a few words and then turned.

"Tubes eleven through thirteen firing electrically!"

Carentan Cobra 417, Callsign 'Skate'

Skate was almost at the target when he caught a glimpse of what was approaching behind him. His RADAR had reported it but disregarded it as a friendly warhead, and so he hadn't given it much thought. But as the devices became larger and larger, he understood just why they had been named "ship gutters" by the snipes. His AI predicted what was to come next, so it dimmed the main window to an almost completely opaque configuration.

The detonation was still too bright to be completely filtered out. Skate instinctively brought his left hand up to cover his eyes as the last of the dreadnought's subsystems, that is the weapon controls and the engines, were obliterated in a thermonuclear blast. If it hadn't been for his craft's radiation shielding, he was sure that he would have been turned into a crisp by now. He didn't even feel himself pull on the release trigger for his own ordinance, and the torpedoes accelerated forward and hit the hull of the ship just as he pulled a one-eighty and fired his afterburners.

USS Carentan, SCVN-88
Combat Information Center

"Alarei ship has been disabled, direct nuclear hits on her port side. She's breaking apart, sir, the fighters are finishing it off as we speak."

"All decks report no damage, Admiral."

"Port landing decks are ready to receive the attack squadrons. No casualties from the flight wing."

"Admiral, we are receiving distress calls from... Pretty much every Kal colony out there."

Admiral Jones had mostly ignored the first notices; he had witnessed it all happen on sensors. The Alarei dreadnought had been obliterated, and soon enough the signature faded into gray and was replaced by numerous pieces of wreckage on the display. They had done it easily, but their job was not over. The LSO seemed all too ready to get the fighters aboard and give his pilots some rest, but they had more things to do.

"Order the attack squadrons to make combat landings on all available decks. Commence jump prep, set course for the nearest Kal'Bavakorian Colony."

"Sir, wait! We're receiving a distress call from Earth!"

The words punched the air out of the Admiral's lungs. Earth was not exactly his home, but it was mankind's home, and he had a duty to protect it. On the other hand, he also had to save the billions of Kal'Bavakorian colonists that were under attack; he was lost in his thoughts, trying to make the moral decision before he was pulled back to reality by the FTL operator's voice.

"Sir, requesting jump destination."

He hesitated for a few moments, and then finally made his choice.

"Link us to the jumpgate, take us to the Amarath system."

Carentan Cobra 417, Callsign 'Skate'

The flight back to the Carentan had been short after he had kicked in his afterburners. Skate was now approaching the top starboard flight deck, and his mind was already thinking of getting a drink after landing; he had done his job. He heard the LSO speak, but he couldn't believe what he heard through the radio.

+"Cobra Four-One-Seven, you are cleared for combat landing, hands-on approach, call the ball."+

He stuttered to reply. A combat landing meant that he was probably going to be deployed again soon, and he didn't like the thought one bit. He finally found the courage to speak as his fighter approached the deck, and he saw the dozens of other fighters that had crudely landed aboard the carrier.

"Carentan, I have the ball. Moving in for hands-on approach."

The magnetic skid made contact with the floor a few seconds later, and he felt the sudden force of decceleration push him towards the front of the canopy. It didn't last long, and he found himself staring at the crowded hangar deck as the rest of the fighters landed and the bay doors finally closed. Then, he felt the feeling of weightlessness that came from the ship's drives preparing for a jump, and he cringed.

A single message was sent to the Resolve before the 12th Supercarrier Battlegroup made a wireless link to the jumpgate, sent in its request to jump and finally disappeared.

+"Resolve, Carentan. We have destroyed the Alarei ship, moving to answer distress call on Amarath. Hold the fort."+

[OG;009] Kallan'Muya System Empty Re: [OG;009] Kallan'Muya System

Post by Blitz on Tue Jan 29, 2013 2:29 pm

From his office, Head Diplomat Evan Yelipoli stood surrounded by his diplomat colleagues. His face was stern, his brows furrowed. He nodded as he held the phone to his ear,"Yes.. Yes ofcourse. Well it shouldn't be too hard to press something like that to the table. Everyone in this council has had negative history with them so it shouldn't be difficult.. Yes sir. I'll put it forward immediately. Goodbye." He hands the phone to his secretary and scratches his chin. The aged, near-human man had a head of short grey hair, and a weathered look about him. He looked out the view from his window, then turned to his colleagues, rather dramatically.

"As many of you know.. the Director of Defense wants us to enact some kind of anti-expansionary regulation against the Nakar and their ill-gotten friends. We're not getting a Council sanctioned war or anything, but I doubt the Director would dislike that. We need to coerce the eh.. remaining representatives of the Founder's Board to help us prevent further Nakar expansion, atleast not near any Council-related nations. Also, the Czar wants us to start a discussion on the Alarei. Put together pieces of this puzzle, maybe we can find out where they came back from suddenly? Perhaps?" He shrugs and looks around at the other diplomats, who nod in agreement. He moves to grip a glass of vodka on his desk. He sighs deeply, then takes a swig of it. He grits his teeth and swallows it. "Let's be on our way then, shall we? I want translations tight, leave no room for misinterpretation. I want everything I need to know about the subject I'm speaking about on the screen in front of me." He and his fellow diplomats grab their carbon monoxide masks, they're civilian issue, so they're transparent, similar to surgical anesthetic masks. They make their way out the airlock, as the room is exchanged with oxygen, then make their way out the door, towards the main assembly.

[OG;009] Kallan'Muya System Empty Re: [OG;009] Kallan'Muya System

Post by EyesofMarch on Tue Jan 29, 2013 3:11 pm

Orbit Around Galactic Council Station, Orbit Over Hallo'Wai
SRNC-07 Resolve, Bridge

Lord Admiral Caan couldn't respond. It wasn't because of hatred, or anger, or loss of equipment.. It was awe. Not of the Grand Council Station, to which the Resolve and it's escort fleet of two SRNC-08 Destroyers, an SRNC-02 Heavy Frigate, an SRNC-04 Carrier Cruiser, and multiple array of fighter squadrons hung over. The 'pretend' battle had been going well, and while the Resolve's main plasma batteries hadn't been able to 'penetrate' the armor of the Carentan, his fighter squadrons were tearing the humans to shreds.. It was glorious, and indeed honorable a battle to partake in, even if it was only a sparring match between fleets.

Of course, he would never want damage to come to the Carentan. It was because of that same ship, and it's captain, that he, the Resolve, and it's few thousand crewmembers were alive today. They had repaired it, saved many injured and dying Kals onboard, and had earned the deep, undying respect of the Lord Admiral those six months ago. Even still, the Republic held a deep hatred of the alien Nakar, and as far as he knew, battle plans for an attack upon Nakar colony worlds was soon to be set to work. For now, such a plan would not be set into motion until the Grand Council, to which the Kal'Bavakorians, the Humans, the People, and the Rhg'Zez controlled, settled upon a specified plan for attack.

He had not set foot upon the now-completed Grand Council Station in over six months, when the original human captain of the Carentan, who had saved the Resolve from certain destruction, had been brought to the then-incomplete Council Station and was given the Foreign Medallion of Triumph personally by the Empress. Caan had personally wished the human captain to take the tattoo, as it was a more honorable token... But the Empress had not wanted to push such a thing upon their new human friends... A pity, really. He was still interested in seeing the new habitats of the Grand Council Station, with it's many habitats for Kals, Humans, People, etc. The gravity-transit lines were revolutionary, and the Embassy Center was supposedly incredible. It is supposedly a massive park with each race's embassy within', with the park holding flora from every possible world they could gather.. It was truly mystical, from what he had heard.

But unfortunately, that was out of his mind for now.

Sitting upon his command chair, Lord Admiral Caan had done something he had not fallen prey to in a long, long time.

He had frozen.. As had his bridge crew.

The many glowing eyes of the Kal'Bavakorian bridge staff had turned towards the center of the Resolve's bridge, in which the CIC's main holographic display center was hanging silently over the heads of the bridge staff; the blue illumination of the semi-solid holographic system displaying information that tore apart the dark, grey hearts of every Kal'Bavakorian there. A single message had displayed itself across the holo-display... A message describing a situation that Svu'Kavsi, Generals, Admirals, and politicians would hope and pray to never step into the dull light of reality, even if they were atheists. The message was a simple line of code, displayed in Kal'Bavakorian hieroglyphs, and mixed with data-packets to assist in the event of this actually happening...

//:CODE 'VARAN'SAI': GENOCIDE-LEVEL ATTACK UPON REPUBLIC SPACE. DATA-NET RECEIVERS WITH UN' SYSTEM LOST.// CONTACT WITH NAVAL HIGH COMMAND LOST.// CONTACT WITH COLONY DEFENSE COMMAND LOST.// CODE 'DEFENSE OF US' INITIALIZED. RETRIEVING REMAINING SYSTEM INFORMATION... TESTING. TESTING... DATA LOST. INITIATE 'DEFENSE OF US' STAGE TWO>>> PREPARE DEFENSE OF REMAINING KAL'BAVAKORIAN COLONIAL SYSTEMS>>> MOVE EMPRESS TO SECURE OUT-OF-SYSTEM LOCATION. INITIATE 'VAGRANT' MILITARY DEFENSE PROGRAM>>> ALL FORCES PREPARE FOR MILITARY PROTOCOL DOCTRINE FIVE.://

Lord Admiral Caan could barely spreak.. Could barely move. The only thing he could do was simply droop his hand over towards the communications system of his command console, gently placing his three-fingered, gloved hand upon the semi-solid holographic receiver, and begin to gently speak into the holographic receiving system.

________________________________________________________

System wide, a transmission could be heard from the Systems Republic Fleet. It is strange.. The voice is clearly that of Lord Admiral Caan, as the gruff hoots and honks make their syllables heard, but they sound.. Weak, defeated almost. It is followed by a quick translation, the synthetic human voice picking up the Kal language in Human English.

++-'....This.. Is Lord Admiral Caan. We see the Alarei ship here.. But.. We have lost all contact with System Republic space. Everything.. Gone.'-++

Council Station
USC Traffic Control Chamber

As all of the council races, the USC had its own sector of the station dedicated to air traffic control. Filled with sensor controls, communication systems and translators, the small chamber was built to USC specifications. No bit of space was wasted, and everything had to be useful in some way, shape or form for it to exist inside. There was no room for decoration, no time to bother with aesthetics: much like submarines, everything had a spartan feel to it.

One of the last requests the Carentan had made before jumping was for the USC traffic control to brief the Resolve battle group, and so they waited until there was some message before rerouting it to an operator and responding.

+"Resolve, this is USC Traffic Control. We are aware of a genocidal attack against our and your colonies. The Carentan battlegroup has moved to assist, and we have already repelled the attack on our home systems. We are also aware of ongoing Nakar invasions against both our nations, we advise that you proceed to immediately assist your people. We are already spooling up the jump gate for you. Control out."+

Council Station
USC Embassy Chambers, Conference Room

"THIS IS AN OUTRAGE!"

[i]The diplomats and staff of the USC embassy had no choice but to stare at the floor. There was nothing they could have done, but the President still found it fit to unleash her anger on the ambassador and his underlings through the quantum transmission. It had taken a lot of tax-payer dollars for a full video-conference suite to be installed between the USC embassies and the various aircraft, bases and ships used by the President of the United Systems, and today, that money paid off.

The President was not a particularly tall woman. She carried an air of military authority with her, and her short black hair only served as a reminder of the fact that the President was once one of the strictest Admirals in the United Systems Military. And yet, she was also obviously overwhelmed. The confines of Marine One hadn't treated her well, and her eyes were filled with the dullness of someone who had been awoken and smuggled away in the middle of the night.

Ambassador Juan Cole on the other hand was dressed in a pristine black suit, complete with a blue tie. He was the only one who dared look at his Commander in Chief, or rather her video representation on the screen.

"THE NAKAR ARE INVADING BOTH EARTH AND KAL TERRITORY, AND I ONLY JUST FIND OUT ABOUT IT NOW? ARE YOU PEOPLE COMPLETELY INCOMPETENT? THIS IS NOT SOMETHING WE WILL TOLLERATE!"

"Madame President, if I may, we think that the Nakar will use nuclear weapons against the Council home worlds if we try to do anything about them."

"WHAT, SO YOU TRUST THESE DOGS TO NOT DO IT ANYWAY?"

"No, Madame President."

"THEN THERE YOU HAVE IT!"

"Madame President, if you would please alleviate some of the tension-"

"DON'T YOU TELL ME WHAT TO DO, AMBASSADOR!"

"Apologies, Madame President. I meant no disrespect."

"Now here's what you are going to do. You and your team will prepare a statement, urging the council to invite the Valhallans, the Caliphate, the Hakoni and the Voewhatever as assembly members. You will also call for immediate action against both the Alarei and the Nakar, and whatever pathetic alliance they belong to. Finally, you will get the damn People off their asses and doing something. Us, the Zelenyans and the Kals have been contributing to defense, they haven't. I am on my way to Marine Base Troy as we speak, I will be joining the assembly via hologram. Dismissed."

The quantum link cut, and the Ambassador let a drawn-out sigh escape him. It was obvious that the President hadn't been taking the transition from military officer to civilian executive well, since she kept saying "dismissed" at the end of her statements. He took a few moments to collect his thoughts, and then put on his screen contact lenses and moved to grab his respirator.

"Alright people, you heard the President. Get me these statements written and translated, I am heading to the assembly room. Contact all members and call for an emergency session."

+"Attention on station, Ambassador Cole is calling for an emergency council session. "+

Inside the General Assembly, a large wall-mounted screen at the very front of the immense conference room flickers to power, showcasing a simple message.

Council Station
Systems Republic Embassy

[OG;009] Kallan'Muya System Deus_Ex_3_office_by_Gryphart

The Embassy-Council Representative winced in his chair, his eyes wide open and glowing brightly upwards towards the ceiling of his small office. He had collapsed into the chair in an exhausted state, having just received word the Empress herself, as well as the Liberty SuperCarrier, was preparing to enter the system. Data packages were strewn about, covering the floor in a paper thin, glowing pile of information that he just could not bear to look through anymore. Releasing a bubbly groan, the ambassador slowly lifted one of his hands deftly towards the table that he sat before, partially ignoring the voice that he could hear buzzing in his ears.. A voice that was clearly angry, and very, very close.

In fact, it was directly behind him. And it was in the form of Representative Kusma'Vavla; a representative of the Outer Rim Territories of the Systems Republic. And she was not happy.. And why would she be? She had just found out most of the territories she had been directed to represent were now nuclear wastelands. A failure, most indeed.. She would be lucky not to be shunned from politics, or even social life itself, after this fiasco, so it was understandable that she was screeching violently at him; the two stubby nodes on her back rattling in a threatening manner.

'..MY TERRITORIES.. GONE! WHAT THE HELL AM I TO DO NOW? THE EMPRESS COMES FORTH SOON, AND I HAVE BUT NOTHING TO SHOW! NOTHING! NO REFUGEES, NO SOLDIERS.. ONLY THIS FUCKING PLANETARY SYSTEM! AND YOUR MALE MIND.. INFERIOR AS IT IS.. SHOULD KNOW WELL ENOUGH THAT THIS STUPID COUNCIL MUST BE WO-..'

With a snarl, the Embassy-Council Representative threw a hand into the air, as if to silence the words of the woman. The sudden action caught her off guard, the Representative of the Outer Rim practically shaking in her armored boots. Her skin was practically glowing in the low illumination of the room as it reflected off the heavy sweat that had covered her body, and stuck her robes to her body. Silently, the Embassy-Council Representative, in a cool manner, slowly peeled a small, spherical bottle off his counter. Unscrewing the side of it and dabbing it gently into his hand, he ousted two glowing-red tablets from within', and thrusted them into his mouth.

With a soft sigh, released due to the tension of his aching head dissipating, the Embassy-Council Representative slowly whirl'd around in his gently levitating chair, allowing his spherical, silvery eyes to settle upon Kusma'Valva's. His eyes, while bagged with exhaustion and stress, were unforgiving. It may have been due to his exhaustion, his stress, or the fact he had not taken a hydration bath recently and his scales were starting to flake.. Or maybe it was due to the billions of souls that had just perished in fire, and that this representative cared only for her own skin. Nonetheless, he released only a series of light chirps and honks, his eyes narrowed slightly in her panicked direction.

'...Well Representative.. As soon as the Empress arrives, she will be prepared to begin the council session. I cannot say what your fate shall be, but I can alert you to the fact that I am certain she will not care for your scaly hide at this time.. What, with billions DEAD and all, as well as her family. She is expected to give a rather massive speech, before sending us off to war..'

The Embassy-Council Representative slowly leaned forward in his chair, and in response, the woman slowly leaned back; the unforgiving, hateful expression of the male sending a shiver up her spine. Through gritted teeth, the Embassy-Council Representative continued.

'Maybe.. If you leave this office right now.. I will decline to send a signed letter to Lord Admiral Caan telling him to turn his fleet around, so that he might pick you up and bring you to your Outer Rim Worlds. Maybe you'll want to see the remains of your blasted control...'

With a soft barking noise, the Embassy-Council Representative whisked around in his chair, as another, more important item had taken his attention. Representative Kusma'Valva, in a fit of fear, whisks around as well and scurries out of the males office. Humph, female superiority..

The item that had taken his attention was that of his holo-console, which had begun to beep loudly through the piles of USC paper files he had placed over the device in a fit of frusteration. Brushing the simple, primitive record-taking 'tablets' aside, he gently presses a webbed digit against the call button, and honked into the receiver.

'Yes?'

<::'This is Republic Traffic Control. Lord Representative, the Liberty has arrived in System.'::>

'Good.. I shall alert the Council to prepare immediately. Thank you.'

And with that, he switched off the link. Rising quickly, he turned away from his table and marched towards the exit of his office.. Eager to meet the Empress. She would need all the support he could muster.

Orbit over Hallo'Wai, Council Station
Embassy Park -> Council Chambers

The ride up from Docking Bay Seven, which had been done through the use of the Council Station's almost completed Transit Grav-Line, had been silent. The Liberty, the Super Carrier of the Systems Republic Navy, had silently flown through the jumpgate from the Un' System, just as Lord Admiral Caan's defensive fleet had rushed back through the jump gate in an attempt to rush to the defense of the colonies hours ago, and had traveled nonchalantly through like an innocent child through the gates of school, as if the area belonged to them.. Which it did, in most respects. Over the last six months the Hallo'Wai Colony had grown explosively, with the metropolis of New Mel having appeared almost overnight with the help of settlers from the People and the USC. Trading centers had opened up in orbit, and the world even had a few towns held respectively for humans and the like, although the population of the world, as well as the colonial government, was utterly Kal'Bavakorian.

While trading ships flew to and fro in the distance, just over the horizon of Hallo'Wai, which glowed a bright blue due to the shine of the worlds distant twin suns, the Empress' Shuttle had left the Liberty's central docking bay in a hurried fashion. After quickly patching through the Systems Republic's Traffic Control Center and having a quick talk with 'Linguistic Construct', the station's OI, the shuttle had landed safely inside of the Council Station. After the Imperial Guard's quick exit from the craft, no ceremonies this time, the Empress had followed soon after.

[OG;009] Kallan'Muya System B4beb5cc7b6eac634314b095f65f2

Even in her downcast state, which was hidden by the heavy, dark helmet that encompassed her facial features; she retained an aura of power and strength, unmatched by her fellow Kals. With swiftness unmatched, as well as while being guided by 'Linguistic Construct', Empress Elena Ru, her Imperial Guard, and the Embassy-Council Representative had made their way onto the transit system, and had rocketed up to the Embassy Park.

[OG;009] Kallan'Muya System Citadel-Presidium-Wide_view

It was a beautiful place.. It had been constructed to be so. With flora from almost every Republic world, as well as some from Earth and other human inhabited worlds, which had been donated and selected specifically for their ability to live amongst other alien flora. In the distance of the massive park, which had been, in a sense, structured after the centuries old plans used for the humans Central Park on Earth; rocky outcroppings covered the walls of the park. Water, coming from special basins within' the station, slowly trickles down the sides of these rocky 'hills', and flows throughout the many rivers of the Embassy Park before eventually meeting up in the very center of the park, forming into a large sphere of cool, fresh water. The grass, a gentle pinkish color, flows softly in the synthetic winds of the Embassy Park. No one inhabited the beauty of a land yet, for the Station was not yet open to public habitation. It was like a fresh apple, not having yet been plucked from it's mother tree..

It was magnificent... Yet no one seemed to notice it in the Kal'Bavakorian envoy, least of all the Empress. She merely sat in silence, her helmet gaze straight ahead as she and her Imperial Guard, as well as the Kal'Bavakorian Council-Representative, walked in silence towards the large, distant Council Chambers. She gave no sign of emotion, simply strutting silently forward as her hips strew from side to side. The only show of emotion was her hands; the three digits of each hand squeezed tightly together, her hands clenched in an angry sort of manner.

She kept this gait, as well as this attitude as she walks up to the doors of the Council Chambers... And as the doors whisk silently aside for the Empress, and the Imperial Guard bow gently in respect as her four foot form slowly steps through..

She says not a word.

And as the emotionally distort empress enters the immense and functionalist room, the large TV screen at the end of the chamber flickers in its display. Within seconds, it switches from a maintenance message to a more lively sight.

[OG;009] Kallan'Muya System E9c170d6fe17b1868f7525246551a

A battle-worn leader appears on the screen, batches of blood covering parts of his grey armor. A couple of new scars and scorches adorn his battlesuit, but nevertheless, his person seems unscathed. He seems slightly tired from battle, but his voice appears unchanged.

"Empress...", he emits thoughtfully, followed by a small bow of his covered head. Within these professional confines, surrounded by her guard and in the presence of the USC president, he would not dare to get to a personal level. Instead, he saves his deeper share of grief for later. "My severe condolences. Not only for your family, but for your people. May you find strength in these troubling times." He then takes a pause, before moving on to business. "I apologize for not being here in person at this time. Our borders required reinforcements, both physical and mental. Nevertheless, we should discuss current affairs. The facts are simple: the Alarei have returned and aren't exactly in a diplomatic mood. So far every species and every nation our intelligence databanks hold shows signs of offensive clashes with Alarei forces. No prominent allies to the conquerors appear obvious." A dull metal hand hands him a wet towel of sorts, to which he takes it, giving the supplier a nod as he commences to clean his worn combat armor, the towel soon soaking red. "However, the Alarei appear far from invincible. If they plan on future attacks, which we can be assured of, they'll rely either on different classes of ships or on sheer numbers. It seems as if this was only a scouting wave to get a general overview of the galactic situation in terms of military resources, but it could very well just be the first wave of many to come." Having finished cleaning most of his armor, he puts the now-red towel besides him "That's all there is to say from our side. Once we've all shared our available intel we can get to setting up a plan of action, something we're in dire need of at this time."

Galactic Council of Unified Worlds Station
Embassy Lane, Council Chambers

[OG;009] Kallan'Muya System B4beb5cc7b6eac634314b095f65f2

As her Imperial Guard parts ways, slowly stepping to the sides of the Empress; she begins to climb up to her pedestal, that of which the Systems Republic owns. Beside her pedestal lies those for the People, as well as the USC. Before the three pedestals that are placed for the convince of the Trio lies the General Assembly section of the Grand Council Chambers, to which, if any other races were here today, they would meet, listen, and discuss. For now, only a few Kal'Bavakorian Representatives keep within' the General Assembly, recording the meeting and writing down notes on their Holo-Tools.

Finally, as the Empress makes her way up, and settles within' her pedestal; she presses her three fingered, webbed hands upon the wooden creation, and goes silent. Her Imperial Guardswoman wait in silence, their glowing helmets staring straight off into the distance of the large chamber, with their hands near their Slot Swords and bubble shield generators in case of sudden attack.

She is stricken with grief, it is clear, and the words of the Dear Leader of the People only reinforces this. Her family.. Her people, lost to this sudden, unexplained war. Her fingers, ignoring her calls to arms, slowly grip the sides of the pedestal, clamping down and cracking the sides of the weak, wooden structure. It takes a moment, but soon her armored head rises upwards to survey the inner sanctum of the Council Chambers. Although her helmet covers her head, hiding the her crushed facial expressions.. She remains strong. To reinforce this ideal, she lifts a hand and, with some brutishness, she slams her hand upon the pedestals holographic display, which hangs gently over the wooden framework facing herself. While she is short and slim compared to the People, and to the Humans.. The sudden, powerful yet cracked bellows she releases from her intercom are indeed powerful, if not stricken with sadness.

"FR-.." She pauses, allowing herself a bubbly clearing of her aquatic throat. Pausing a moment to let the translation software within' the intercom system kick in, she begins to speak again. pushing her sadness as far away as possible. "Dear Leader.. Of the People, I most graciously thank you for your words of kindness. They see no more welcoming place than my stricken heart.." She gently bows her helmeted head in respect towards the large televised image of the Dear Leader, and her Imperial Guard, standing below the pedestal, bow as well. "Indeed, we find the same. My intelligence forces find that the Alarei are using nuclear weapons against every sentient target they find within' our galactic arm.." She pauses again, allowing herself a bubbly, shaky breath, as well as allowing a break for the translation software. "..While.. My people are hurt, and have been smashed beneath the boot of Alarei imperialism.. My armed forces remain at the command of this Galactic Council. While food, supplies, and minerals are currently low as we attempt to rebuild, repair, and keep order upon our stricken worlds, we are currently pushing for the construction of a multitude of new spacecraft... Including, after having scanned over the remains of the Alarei ships that have attacked my people.. And.. Crushed many of our systems.. We will be constructing a mighty Dreadnought, and plan to return the fight to the Alarei after we have secured our borders and retained stability to the Kal people."

Council Station
Council Chambers

Ambassador Cole and his aides remained silent as the exchange occured before them. They had watched the battle unfold from the many exterior cameras aboard the Carentan, and they had seen the destruction unleashed upon the Kal'Bavakorian colonies from the after-action survey drones that had been sent to investigate. He could not say he or his people had shared the grief striken upon the Kals, though. Thanks to a very conservative deployment of forces, the Coalition's few colonies had remained untouched by the nuclear holocaust. Not only had the fleet crushed four separate dreadnoughts, but it also took down a fifth in orbit around Amarath, a Kal'Bavakorian world. The Ambassador had smugly smiled when he heard the news.

He was not as smug when he was given the Kal casualty reports. They were still rough estimates based on what the USC's analysts had claimed was the original population of each of the Republic's colonies, and there was a very big disclaimer about how the estimates were far more optimistic than the reality. He had hesitated to open the report when it first arrived on his desk, and when he did, what cheer was left in him was violently punched out of him.

Billions. The death toll on the Kal'Bavakorians had been in the billions, in the tens of billions. He had barely gone over the shock when he arrived in the council chambers and assumed his place.

The state of the Kal'Bavakorian empress was enough to finish his mood off.

But he could not give his condolenses now, no. Someone far more important was taking care of that. When the Empress finished her speech, he cleared his throat and begun to speak with what little power he had left.

"I would convey my condolenses to you and your people, but there is someone else who wants to take care of that. Empress of the Republic, Leader of the People. Allow me to present to you, the President of the United Systems."

The screen above the USC delegation flickered to life. It took a few seconds for the uplink to finish, and soon enough, a middle-aged woman's head and some of her shoulders appeared on it. There was little formality on her: her hair was cut into an almost military-esque fashion, and she was wearing a simple airforce jumpsuit. The dark circles under her eyes were enough to convey her current state: sleepless. In fact, it looked more like an average woman webcam chatting than the leader of a nation. Behind her, a small window allowed the darkness of space to be shown. She was in a gunship, evidently. She tried to be formal in her speech, but ended up speaking more like a military officer than a politician.

"Empress, on behalf of the people of the United Systems, I would like to extend to you my most sincere condolenses. As much as I hate to compare our situations, my people have too once been brought to the brink by a nuclear assault. We are mobilizing everything we have to offer support to the victims of the assault, maybe even save those who were too far away from the blast zones. We managed to repel the invasions on all of our worlds, so we should have plenty of resources to spare, and we also have experience with being on both ends of a nuclear attack. We are also in the process of boarding an Alarei dreadnought, our forces managed to disable it without entirely destroying it. We believe we can access the datacore using Alarei War Era infiltration software."

The President paused as someone talked to her in the background. She turned her head enough to give him a nod, and then resumed.

"I am on my way to the Council Station as we speak, Marine One will be docking with the USS Carentan and we'll be jumping to the system. It will take some time, so I would like to start getting some topics out of the way right about now. First of all, we can't do this alone. This Council is not a true union of nations, it's a barely-held-together alliance. We need to bring everyone else up to speed and talking here ASAP. We have compiled a list of nations that we believe should be brought in as council members, and I would like to call the vote now.

The United Systems votes in favour of inviting the Valhalan Security Command, the Korrae Union, the Second Islamic Caliphate, the Voehn-Ahl Summoned Fleet, the Hakoni and the Coalition of Cleansed Territories into the council."

The leader returns the bow given to him by the Empress and her guard, and before he can say something in return, the ambassador announces the president. He listens thoughtfully, nodding every now and then, before replying at her proposition.

"The Society seconds the vote to allow these nations invitation into the general assembly. Excuse me as I disable this transmission. I'll be with you personally shortly." The leader disappears from screen, and the television itself turns black.

Shortly after, a warping reaction occurs within the system, a frigate-class ship appearing. It carries no banner or symbol, which would lead to believe it's a People craft, especially seeing its dull grey exterior. Organizations would have a hard time scanning the ship's inner workings and systems, a strong jamming device in place, most-likely also the reason why the leader had to cut off the transmission. It'd be safe to assume he is on board.

[OG;009] Kallan'Muya System 7a37700fc012cb9d2e9099080f217

This assumption is confirmed when a small dropship flies from the craft's hangar, transporting itself towards one of the council's. It appears as a simple dropship, nothing remarkable to be noted, except its cargo. As the dropship enters the hangar, a large hatch opens at its back, a single armored figure standing in the dark opening. While the landing supports touch the station's cold metal, the figure starts his descension, followed by two shades carrying the same armor, a rifle on their back and a handgun on their hips. Presumably unchallenged, the trio makes its way to the conference room, its leader giving a nod to a few familiar faces, both human and Kal, as he approaches the chamber's entrance.

All of this combined would take quite some time, but once they finally arrive at the door leading to the conference room, the door opens and the trio enters. At the front is the first and final individual within the collectivized Society. Although he wears pretty much the same armor as his comrades, minus a few augmentations and an aged medal on his chest, he is far from alike. Not just the fact he's slightly taller than his subjects, but the way he walks, talks, and even perceives. None of this would've been observable from his televised counterpart, given the bad connection earlier. His stroll is that of many dimensions: a strong and confident gentleman, but also a powerful and perceptive ruler. His hidden gaze shows him to be a thoughtful father-figure, a patriarch of sorts, but also a focused warrior, not just a desk-dancer who lets others do his dirty work. And then his voice: static'd by his helmet, but nevertheless inspiring. Low and deep like an ocean's depth, but seeping with charisma and charm instead of water and fish. Filled with experience and expertise, but also a caring persona who would give for his loved ones.

He marches over to the chamber's front, to the position of his beloved ally. He extends a firm and masculine hand to his female counterpart, gestures able to do more than words at such a moment.

[OG;009] Kallan'Muya System 06f6d7eda5d7f84fba35f928872e6

It could be said without a doubt that the sole patriarch of the people's nation was quite the figure. However, it'd be hard to tell whether his traits and features were really that amazing, or if he just contrasted so much with the rest of the society.

Council Station
Council Chambers

The Empress had remained silent during the talks, listening silently as her gaze moves from the image of the President of the USC to that of the Leader of the People. She was clearly not in the mood for pleasantries, and she desired only talk, and action as well. The death of her people brought a visible drag in her usually powerful, set shoulders; her helmeted head drooped slightly, and her hands gripped the sides of her pedestal tightly, almost cracking the wood. The inaction was tearing her to pieces.. She must act.

She was brought some relief when, after a few minutes of silent, almost uncomfortable waiting in the tense air'd room of the Council Chambers, the Leader of the People arrived. She had found herself staring at the human delegation within' the Council Chambers during these silent moments.. And she also found herself wondering, why? She found the stoic, uncomfortable faces of the human delegates just as uncomforting, and as her glowing eyes settled upon the one known as Ambassador Cole, she grimaced even more so than she already was beneath her helmet. She did not want their pity.. She wanted their help.

But as the Leader of the People entered the chamber, and her Imperial Guard, dressed in their heavy Imperial Systems Armor, slowly bowed in respect and parted to allow him to see the Empress, she felt a small pain lift off on her heart.

Stepping down to meet with him, the Empress gazes upwards at her taller counterpart, and gently extends a small, three-fingered, webbed hands to her male counterpart. She squeezes it with a deal of force one might not expect from such a tiny creature, and bows her helmeted head softly in response,
''..Thank you.' She honks softly, a sad tune added to her voice.

With that, she turns to step back up at her pedestal, having nodded softly to the Leader; as if wanting to speak later. For now, she turns her attention towards the remaining Council, leaning her helmeted head forward towards the translation device placed upon her cracked, wooden platform. While her chirps and honks are streaked with sadness, and her body language retains said feelings, she speaks powerfully; the synthetic translation of her voice rising far above the Council Chamber's floor.

'..Thank you, my human friends.. Again, all of your condolences, while they do not repair what damage has been done.. Helps my aching heart. In light of this, and the news of your fleets saving of one of my colonies, I would enjoy inviting you, Miss President, the Captain of your 'Carentan', and a small group of ambassadors.. To the Un' System for a special ceremony, as well as the unveiling of the updated Republic Fleet, which shall replace those which have been lost. Such selfless acts as your Captains, while rare in ones own culture, is unheard of in the defend of others. You have brought light in a tunnel of darkness, and hope to those who have none.. Thank you.'

With that, the Empress bows her head softly towards the image of the President of the USC. Her Imperial Guard follows, bowing deeply in their heavy, synthetic-based armor. Quickly, though, she returns her head to it's default position, and begins to speak once more. Her words are now harsher, though, and even the synthetic translation of her honks and chirps carry a threatening, dangerous tinge to them.

'And.. While these new inclusions worry me at best, the Republic also votes to include new additions to this Council. While the Republic will be reserved until we manage to re-arrange ourselves and repair what was lost.. Our fleets and armies, once given a location, will work hand in hand with this Council to bring death and ultimate destruction to the Alarei.. The bastards will burn with the fury of a billion plus souls lost, and they shall feel the mighty fist of this Republic of Kal'Bavakorian Systems clenching around their throats!'

To emphasize this, her gloved hand slowly raises up into the 'sky', and clenches tightly, as if grasping some invisible item.. And throttling the life out of it. A few honks and shrieks are heard from the crowd of Kal'Bavakorian spectators in the General Assembly, who raise their hands into the air and release a, while not quiet, subdued cry of anger and respect.

The leader nods at her as they shake hands, before giving her a pat on her upper arm, letting go. He then walks, just like her, to his assigned pedestal. After listening carefully to the empress' talk concerning the special ceremony for humanity, left uninvited, and her small speech regarding the presumed ending of the Alarei by their hands, he speaks up, baring a serious and precautionary tone.

"While your confidence is admirable, Empress, I must ask you and your people not to get infected by vengeance. You have lost many, and it is psychologically understandable you want not only justice but also revenge, but I urge you not to let emotion take the upper hand against rationality. To follow up on that, I propose we first try to seek a diplomatic solution to this conundrum, to prevent any further bloodshed. While I understand the Kal'Bavakorian wish for justice, that doesn't have to be served on a dish of death. An initial attempt at contact to see who, what and why could assist us if we were to end up warring later on, as well as allowing them a chance of justification, or a chance of surrendering. We, as an establishment of civilization, must stand above genocide, the killing of innocents and unnecessary combat. If they do not surrender or fail to provide a sensible justification, which I assume, then there'll be time for the clenching of Alarei throats, and the People's military will launch down upon them alongside your forces. I completely understand that this proposition may seem unconventional, given the current emotional outbursts across your species and the cries for blood that come with it, but we must act out of the greater good here, to prevent any further losses. Nevertheless I assure you I will show no mercy if it were to come to violence."

"With due respect, Leader, but are you out of your mind? Are you suggesting that we negotiate with these monsters, even after they killed billions? I am sorry to say this, but the only negotiation the people of the United Systems will accept is an unconditional surrender."

It would be fairly easy to tell that the President was furious. Just the thought of negotiating with the Alarei had been enough to trigger an almost violent reaction from her. Her eyes narrowed, and her neutral expression devolved into one of anger. And it was perfectly justified: the Alarei had almost wiped out the human race before, and they were trying to do it again. While the USC lacked the massive fleet it had fought the first war with, the President's next words sounded overly confident.

"When our analysis of the wreckage is complete, and the new members are inducted into the Council, we will offer the Alarei a single chance to surrender. If they don't, we will turn our nuclear weapons, and our fleets, and our armies against their homeworld. We already almost nuked them out of this universe once, and we will do it again if necessary."

She paused. There was no regret on her face for what she had said, but she took a few moments to formulate her next statement. She spoke calmly.

"But we need to decide what to do as a council. Leader, could your embassy do the honours of inviting the ambassadors from the various nations? Our communications grid is being used to the brink right now. And Empress, I would be honoured, as I am sure Admiral Jones will reply as well."

The leader did not flinch: he'd expected such backlash. He replied calmly.

"Miss President, I understand your position here. You have a history with the Alarei. But we must not grow arrogant or rash. We need to be cautious. All I'm asking is to seek contact with them, see if we can discover their motives, see if they're willing to surrender. If they offer their own set conditions, we should at the very least look over them. Who knows, maybe they'll be reasonable. We simply cannot afford to make rash assumptions, and we can definitely not afford declaring war without first investigating other, more simple options."

He wipes a slight piece of dirt off his chestplate.

"And I'd appreciate it if we could keep this civilized. We're all friends here, and over the past 6 months the three of us have grown into a mutual bond of interests. And while I understand my suggestion may seem off-worldly to you, seeing your violent background with our mutual opponent, I ask you to look at it rationally. If 'negotiations' have no positive results, then we'll declare war as a union of species and nations.

I'll see to it the little embassy personnel we have get to it."

From the main entrance of the assembly, the Zeleniyan diplomats, in black and red suits, make their way towards their seating area. They carry briefcases in one hand, and gas tanks for their transparent masks in the other. They are all pale, stout, and well groomed, wearing a pin of the Zeleniyan flag on their left lapels.

Evan Yelipoli sits in the center of his diplomats, listening to the proposal for the Alarei contact. He stands to speak after the dear leader,
"Privyet, I am Head Diplomat Yelipoli, representing the Socialist Republics of Zeleniy.." He pauses, looking about the large room. Again he speaks, in a bland and professional tone,"As descendants of Earth and the great nuclear war that once ensued, the Czar and the Zeleniyan Politburo have voted against any attempt to negotiate with the Alarei. However, if a negotiation is proposed and the Alarei accept, the Czar and the politburo will vote to see if our nation will adhere to it. The Republic of Zeleniy votes against the proposal to use diplomacy against the great genocidal fleet. Zeleniyan armed forces will continue to track whatever is left of the Alarei fleet..."

The Diplomat then leans to one side of his pedestal, looking to the Empress of the Kal'Bavakorians. "Your Highness, the Czar apologizes that he was not able to meet you at this time and deliver this message in person. In another unanimous decision by the Czar and the Zeleniyan politburo, the Republic is to devote the 2nd Fleet to the protection of the remaining Systems Republic territories, should you choose to accept it. Also awaiting your permission is the Zeleniyan disaster relief corps. While we cannot easily help you directly in rebuilding, due to your environment, we can provide the resources and the protection to ensure it." With that, the head diplomat nods firmly and looks out at the crowd again.

The Leader nods a welcome towards the diplomats.

The Empress merely watched on in silence for a few moments as the President of the USC and the People's Dear Leader bickered to eachother regarding the severity of the situation. Unconsciously, she felt her three-fingered hands slowly grasp the sides of her podium, backed by a level of anger and helplessness she could not control. Fury rose within' her heart, her mind, within' her very eyes as they began to harshly glow a fiery silver.. How much longer could she take this? Her people, her worlds, her Republic.. Her babies.. Lay dead in a fiery tomb, left to rot in pieces within' a nuclear winter. And for what? What purpose was there in the genocide of her people?

None.

But there would be for the Alarei. Oh, by her Empire, there would be a reason for the death of the Alarei. And she would not stop until she left them to starve on Jasnugai, or until their leader was torn limb from limb by Svu'Kavsi Executionary Squads.. But until then, total and utter war would suffice. And from the looks of her bickering allies, nothing would be done soon.

Suddenly, as the Rhg'Zez Ambassador and his team march through the entrance of the Grand Council Chamber.. A resounding 'SNAP' echos throughout the chamber. Upon looking over at the source of the noise, the Empress has her hands wrapped tightly around the sides of her podium. Whilst a being of her size and slimness would appear weak.. She is indeed very strong, and by simply squeezing her freshly built wooden pedestal, the wooden sides had cracked and expelled wooden slivers across her general area. With a ragged, bubbly sigh from the mouthpiece of the Empress' helmet, she begins to speak.. And she does not sound happy. In fact, her chirps and snarls sound angry and defensive, and the synthetic translation of her words coming from the broken pedestal are not all that different in tone.

'SPEAK NOT! AS YOU BICKER, THE ALAREI PREPARE FOR MORE GENOCIDE! WE SHALL NOT NEGOTIATE WITH OUR ENEMY.. THE ALAREI STARTED THIS WAR, AND WE SHALL END IT IN TIDES OF BLOODSHED AND WAR..!'

Pausing for a moment, the Empress begins to inhale and exhale slowly; a soft, bubbling noise escaping her throat, like that of someone blowing air into a pool of water. Slowly setting her shoulders back and assuming a more dignified, powerful, and intimidating stance, and carefully removing her hands from the broken edges of the pedestal, the Empress begins to speak again. Her voice lowers, quieter and calmer now, and her pedestal's translation reflects this perfectly. With a subtle, yet harsh nod to the arriving Rhg'Zezi Council team, she speaks..

'..Apologies, dear friends.. But.. The Alarei do not deserve peace in this instance. My Dear Leader of the People.. While.. I understand your desire for peace, the Alarei.. They started this war with an attempted genocide? What other purpose would there be for this, than revenge for the loss of their own world? If they wished peace upon us, or had any desire for such left, they would not have done as they did. And now..'

With a soft, calm snarl; the Empress raises one of her clenched fists, and brings it down softly into her other open-palmed hand.

'We must return the effort. We must crush, destroy, and obliterate the Alarei before they can hurt us more. Upon being given the location of Alarei targets, special operatives.. A team of soldiers I have kept quiet until this time, will spring into action. They are a new, improved breed of soldier.. Named LEVIATHAN, and they, as well as regular Kal'Bavakorian warriors and crew-warriors, will bring an end to this threat; not only in space, but planetside as well..'

With that, she turns carefully towards the Rhg'Zez Ambassador, as if trying to hold back yet another outburst, though not directed at the Rhg'Zez if it came to be. With a soft nod in his direction, she speaks again..

'While.. I thank you for this.. Alien warships within' Republic space will frighten my people, and this, I cannot have. Any supplies and resources you can lend my people, though, will greatly benefit attempts to boost our economies and our re-colonization of distant star systems. With.. Such an enormous drop in population, my people must rush forward to rebuild what has been lost in the fires of this unprovoked war..'

The two soldiers, upon hearing the large snap, flinch lightly, their weapons raising an inch or two from their hip, before retracting. A simple instinctive reflex, no doubt. However, the leader remains calm, listening to the Empress with an iron stare, waiting for her to come to her senses, before replying.

"I'm afraid we're having a slight miscommunication here. My intention is to see what their intentions and motivations are, and review them collectively. They'll be allowed to surrender or propose a different solution, one which we will review. Please do not make blind assumptions on things we do not yet know for certain. It's for our own gain to see what they have to say."

Although it is obvious he found her rash and antagonizing speech quite a nuisance, he does not elaborate on it.

Council Station
Far Orbit

Approximately seven hours after the original invitation of Galactic Council Membership was sent out by the People, three energy signatures would gradually appear on long-range sensor equipment, whilst short-range equipment would give a more accurate reading that would, for the United Systems Coalition, match with energy readings from vessels used in the Union Navy, the Korrae Union's naval force. Two of the vessels were Frigates, whilst the central one was a Cruiser intended for use by Diplomats during Political Expeditions, and whilst it was well-armed and well-defended, it seemed to have a sense of 'taste' about it, as if it was meant to give off a good first impression.

Onboard was Ixius Vas, a one hundred and sixty four year old Inusa who, for the past seventy two years, had been repatedly elected Councillor representative of Qinsa Sector, on Quisar. Formerly the Executive Officer of Colonial Affairs, Vas had overseen recent colonisation and terraforming efforts such as those on Quisar and Arvak, and had been popular amongst the Human Community for his efforts in catering for their needs, amongst other things. Few had issues with his election as Councillor for Qinsa, and he was the High Council's first choice for an Ambassadorial Position on the Galactic Council.

Shortly after, a transmission was broadcast from Ambassador Vas' vessel and directed towards the Council.

"++Council Station, this is the UNC Quishan, Diplomatic Vessel of the Korrae Union. As of now, we are carrying Ambassador Ixius Vas, his Ambassadorial Staff and the necessary resources for the Korrae Union's Embassy on your station. Requesting permission to dock, over++"

"ATTENTION CREW OF KOPOR 472, PREPARE FOR PHASE JUMP."

The furry beings slowly shifted to their seats, their home Nursa filling up their screen displays. Diek Braka, the same man who established relations with the Skyman, would take it another step further. The small explorer ship, consisting of an entire arm of King Odck's own court, would be sent to establish an embassy with races that had fought the same enemy as they had.

COUNCIL STATION

A sudden burst of chained kinetic energy and plasma erupts from space, a ship of foreign minerals exiting phase space. Immediately, they hail the council station.

"SKYMAN, WE SHALL LAND ON YOUR COMMAND."
