Culture: Civilized, feudal-like. The Emperor is at the top of the Chain of Great Being, otherwise the divine right of all things that exist. The Lords and the Church of Jutendom sits right below, with four Patriarchs for every holy city in the Empire. Sipeyn, Alan, Pleista, and Antochus. Below them are the Pentarchs, and below them are the subinfeudated vassals. Below that are the merchants and traders, and the last Chain of Great Being is the freeman and villein.

History: Originally a massive gathering of trade states and other unique ideals, the ancient era of the region is described in Religion. After squabbling over lands and cultural differences long after Jute's death, many civil wars sprung out over petty deals and problems. The ideals of Juteism were nearly left behind by war, but eventually Basileus Gennadius organized each split kingdom under one flag. With his contributions, Pentarchs began to declare that war was only a status, but no real thing under the eyes of God. Eventually, the people of Sipeos learned that fighting among themselves was useless when one could simply be spreading the ever-lasting and warm light of God from their hearth. Therefore, if all of the world were to fall under the gaze of God, no war would be present. This would only be solved by absolving all who disbelieve.

Today, the Empire is a flourishing example of a mercantile state and secluded feudal state. Ports and other areas are republic-like counties, where the Theme holds order over moneylenders and mayors elected by the people. However inland, the people are born into serfdom and squalor, working on manors for long hours.

The Empire comes to mainly defend itself, but also establish Jutendom throughout the world. Many times, giant barbarians raid from the north, tribes of pagans raid from the south, and organized nation-states raid from the west. Usually, this is repelled by the Emperor's huge retinue, but if time was given, every man in a manor would rise as a footman.

Religion: Predominantly Jutendom, a religion that is extremely monotheistic and isolated, converting all that it can. It claims all pagans throughout the world simply have not seen the light of God in the embodiment of Jute. The religion is heavily based on the belief that Jute, an ancient farmer who had been born to a virgin, arose in Sipeyn, a merchant city. From there, he soon was perceived as the embodiment of God on Earth. Spreading Juteism extremely quickly, the religion united all city-states under one flag by centralizing a large stretch of land. He was said to be sacrificed on the border of mainland Sipeos by pagan giants. Before his death, he gathered 17 Pentarchs to spread the word of God. Pentarch Constantine continued the legacy, eventually bringing about the succession of Pentarchs, creating a literal force of priests to spread the religion. Constantine sought to set up a grandmaster of all Pentarchs, and thus the Basileus was born as the highest title.
