0030E, Lancemen's Orbital Platform

GRIBSON'S BASE

A massive construct with foreign architecture, it is assumed to have been built by a multitude of smugglers of different races and deserters from naval fleets. Whether a certain race would enjoy it or not, they'd have pirates on their hands. This structure is a massive "fuck you" to nearby races, as it runs drug trades, slave markets, prostitution rings, and all kinds of organized crime gangs. Huge bars and hideouts are throughout the station, and on-board there are no rules. The base control is simply run by the most powerful pirate faction.

Gribson, the current clan ruler of the base, is a towering former soldier that served in the Hakoni Navy. Elusive and often ruthless, he is the direct successor to the rule of the Lancemen clan, a huge conglomerate of Hakoni pirates that evaded King Odck.

Approaching the station without first hailing the bridge of the station might result in unwanted violence, although the station is open for anyone without directly attacking if it is hailed.

A single ship dropped out of a jump near the station, broadcasting a mutilated USC IFF. It would seem to be armed only with basic point defense, despite its nature as an obsolete Earth destroyer. Its hull would appear to have been painted with various decals, such as a skull and a mushroom cloud.

Before the station was given any chance to assume hostility, a hail was sent to it on all frequencies.

A ping is sent in reply to the hail,

"ENTER DOCKING BAY 07B, DOCK 1, ENTER AT RISK. WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE IF YOUR SHIT IS STOLEN.

The 400m long destroyer deactivated its main engines and switched to docking backups, using a series of precise turns to put itself on a course towards the docking bay. While on its approach, all point defense turrets were stowed inside the hull to prevent any accidents, and the docking gear was deployed. The destroyer finally entered the bay and fired its deceleration thrusters, bringing itself to a halt and allowing any clamps to grasp it.

At last, the docking corridor was extended towards one of the starboard airlocks.

Upon exiting their ship, they would be greeted by a huge, narrow corridor with windows running along it. At the end of the hall, seven Hakoni stand idle formation, with a yellow marked Hakoni at the tip. The windows along the hallway show a huge bazaar, hundreds of lucrative business aligned in street-like order. Drug dealers, bars, slaves, prostitutes, and warehouses line the massive streets. The people of the bazaar appear as ants in different colors.

It was then, on the horizon, civilian FTL burst into space, a sleek civilian, almost sporty ship was zooming toward the station, it was armed with basic kinetics.

After sending a message to the station at regular intervals saying "We're right at home, looking to do some chasing and some dealing." They would pull up near the platform.
